Phew, these past few days, I’ve been so busy receiving new inventory and putting them on display that I haven’t had any time to drum up much of a cheese review. That includes not only those Bovetti chocolates and new cheeses, but travel and food books and all sorts of wine accoutrements.
However, the shop also received a box of new boards on which to serve our three- and five- cheese plates. Yes, boards. They first arrived as wine crates for our wine deliveries. Carlos had the ingenius idea of cutting them up to serve some cheesy masterpieces, and I get to use them too! They are so gorgeous. I saw this in one recent Culture magazine photo, and I remember asking myself, “Why don’t we have pretty plates like that?” Well, now we do, and the customers I served today all raved about the presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed working with them. Everything I did managed to look good, thanks to the beautiful boards.
