Totally unrelated to today’s post—have you noticed Miss Cheesemonger’s new logo and color palette? They were created by Yuling Designs, and I love them!!! Now you can have a prancing goat light up your life every time you visit me online!
Ahem, now back to your regularly scheduled cheese!
This past week, Bonne Maman and I have been running a giveaway for a twin set of their delicious preserves! You can enter until Wednesday, Nov. 26, 11:59 PST, by clicking on the button below!
To celebrate this week’s giveaway, I thought I’d spend a little quiet time with my jams. Bonne Maman jams have always held a nostalgic corner of my heart. Their signature checkered lid and cursive label have had a space in my kitchen for a long time! When I was a student in the south of France, I’d often mix Bonne Maman apricot or strawberry preserves into my yogurt with sliced almonds for breakfast or a midday snack. Oftentimes, I’d slather a bit on French bread to eat with my market fresh chèvre. So simple, and so enjoyable!
Things haven’t changed much since then. Thanksgiving planning is in full swing now, so I broke out the jam to remind me of those carefree, sunny, student days! This time, I added the mixed berry preserves to my homemade yogurt, and paired the apricot preserves with a wedge of local Point Reyes Blue and fresh baguette.
Right now, because I’m starting to think of Christmas, I am hankering for some of Bonne Maman’s chestnut spread, too. Now THAT is a special treat if ever there was one!
