Happy Monday! Christmas is creeping ever closer, so I finally decided to wake up the inner Christmas spirit a little bit (There’s some red in this post. It’s subtle. Do you see it?). Today, we’re delving into the world of flowers! Not just any florals, but local, sustainably grown flowers. My friend Betany, opera singer and owner of Chloris Floral, a Petaluma-based floral design company, stopped by last week for a little catch-up over some cheese and flower photography.
If you follow my Instagram (@misscheesemonger), you know I love flowers, maybe almost as much as I love food! I kept the cheeses simple that day—fresh chèvre rolled in herbs with the Valley Fig Growers Balsamic Pepper fig spread I photographed the prior week, and Fromager d’Affinois (my guilty pleasure cheese!) with Noci Foods walnut and honey terrazzo.
A feast for the eyes to start your week!
If you love flowers, here’s another blog post when I visited a flower farm with Betany.
I’ve updated my Shopstyle list (at right) to include some holiday goodies. Take a peek!
