Helloooo, everyone! I’ve just finished my second week of singing with Lamplighters Music Theatre’s HMS Pinafore in the SF Bay Area, and am so so so happy that my life is full of all of the things I love: music, wonderful people, cheese, photography, and writing!! The best! I’m also finishing up a copywriting project for a new local business. Oooohhhh. I love writing for new businesses!
In any case, I got wind of a great local cheese event that you SF Bay area folks may be interested in. Marin French Cheese Company, as part of its 150th birthday celebration, is celebrating the life of past owner Jim Boyce with a weekend-long celebration on the grounds on Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th. Mr. Boyce, during his adventurous and extremely full lifetime, was a great lover of, well, a lot of the same things as me: music, art, and cheese. There will be all three in great abundance on Saturday. Arts Contemporary Marin, the arts advocating nonprofit which Mr. Boyce helped found, will be selling and displaying works. The Copeland Creek Jazz Quintet and John Burdick Band will be playing music on Saturday as well. OF COURSE, cheese will be plentiful!
If this sounds like your idea of a fun weekend afternoon, here’s all the info in one place:
Marin French Cheese Company
Saturday and Sunday, August 15-16
The market-style cheese, food, and beverage tasting will take place on Saturday, as will the music. Artwork will be on display both Saturday and Sunday.
Bring a picnic blanket, and anything else you need to get you through a fun afternoon outdoors.
Bonus: here’s me in my HMS Pinafore costume!
