Miss Cheesemonger Turns 10!!

Hello, my friends! It has been quite a while since I last wrote a blog post–I have been more active on Instagram, but generally, have been retooling myself as I focus more on my photography business. The step away from constantly creating cheese content was much needed–I’ve grown a little jaded about social media and blogging, and wanted to find a way to connect to cheese that felt authentic and interesting to me. However, cheese remains close to my heart.

That said–Miss Cheesemonger turns 10 years old this month!! Can you believe it?? I began this blog on a whim, the night before starting my first cheese job. I had no plans for it, other than documenting everything I would learn at my new job. Since then, Miss Cheesemonger has connected me with so many people, animals, places, and cheeses. I am eternally grateful for discovering the cheese community for giving me a space to find and explore my creative voice, and for all those deliciously cheesy moments.

What lies in store for Miss Cheesemonger? You can expect more cheese recitals, like the one I held in February. D’ailleurs–my next one is in the books for February 29, 2020, in San Francisco. I am so excited about it, and will be presenting all-new music, all-new cheeses, and a larger venue. You will be hearing about ticketing information soon enough!

If there’s one thing I love more than cheese, it’s classical singing, and I have reached a stage in my development where I want to share my love of both with people in a real way–face to face, not just online. After all, the purpose of all that social media hubbub and posting is authentic connection; we can all use more of that these days.

Miss Cheesemonger has evolved so much over the past 10 years, and continues to evolve. I am so grateful to all of you for joining me on the ride, and for sharing your creative selves with me all along the way.
