Hello, my friends. How the world is different right now. I hope you are all staying socially and emotionally connected to each other, even as you stay physically isolated.
Our small businesses, restaurants, and artisan cheesemakers need us now more than ever before. In SF, I have been keeping up with Cheese Plus, whose social media accounts I manage, and I am so amazed at the fortitude of Ray Bair and all his staff as they continue to bring the highest quality food, wine, and artisan cheese to the community. Over the weekend, M. Cheesemonger and I also stopped by another favorite local spot, Chalos, to put in a massive order of their beloved empanadas. Have you got a favorite neighborhood shop or neighborhood restaurant? If you can, please keep continuing to support them!
In the midst of it all, if you’re looking for a little pause, the video of the latest Miss Cheesemonger Sings is available online. If you want to really participate, I invite you to find these cheeses at your local fine cheese shop, or at Cheese Plus if you’re in SF (Call them at 415-921-2001 to put a phone order in, then pick up or have it delivered! Don’t forget a bottle of wine, too. ;) ).
